“Nearby”
The public is simultaneously preoccupied by the very near (the self) and the very far (the imagined ‘world’), but neglects the space in between, and as a result fails to recognize how the social world is concretely constituted through interconnected differences. There are many groups in our “nearby” worthy of notice, and taxi drivers are one of them—frequently overlooked, yet an indispensable part of our society.
Lives were very different but were interconnected and interchangeable. A country without taxi is hard to discover, which means there is a sustainable demand of taxi service. Nearly everyone are available to be a taxi driver, or being possible to be severed by a taxi driver. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the daily lives of taxi drivers.
